Our TV Licence service fees and payment plans
TVLicenceOnline is an independent intermediary service that makes handling your UK TV Licence straightforward and stress-free. For processing your request we require a one time service fee of £19.95. We are not affiliated with TV Licensing or the BBC. It is possible to obtain the same services for free or at a lower cost from the UK Government or the relevant official body.
The official costs for a new TV licence at the TV licensing authority are £174.50. At the tv licence authority it is possible to pay the licence at once in full or pay for the licence with direct debit payments.
Through our tv licence service we assist customers with setting up the licence with direct debit. We do not ask our customers to pay the full £174.50 upfront. We only offer a new tv licence set up with direct debit. We charge a £19.95 service fee to set up the licence and licence fee payments are paid via direct debit to the TV Licensing Authority.
It is possible to set up the tv licence with 3 payment plans to pay the £174.50:
Monthly Direct Debit is the most popular option, giving you the control of smaller monthly payments. With monthly payments the licence is always paid 6 months in advance, meaning you will pay your full first year in the first 6 months.
Spread the cost of your licence across four payments throughout the year. Because you're paying for your licence on a pay-as-you-go basis, you'll pay a £5 annual charge.
Pay for your licence in one go. With annual Direct Debit, your TV Licence is automatically renewed for you every year.
