How we handle cancellations, cooling-off periods, and refunds
This refund and cancellation policy forms part of our General Terms and Conditions and is outlined in Section 9 of those terms.
Tchoice B.V., trading as TVLicenceOnline, complies with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This policy explains your statutory rights when cancelling a distance contract, and how we process refund requests.
In line with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the legal right to cancel the agreement within fourteen (14) calendar days, starting from the day after your agreement is confirmed. You do not need to provide a reason for cancelling during this period.
This statutory right is lost once the service has been fully performed and formal confirmation of completion has been sent to you. As explained in clauses 4.4 and 4.5 of our Terms, we commence work after receiving payment, and you agree that the right to cancel is forfeited once the service is completed in full before the 14-day cooling-off period expires.
To cancel, you must submit a request using the model Cancellation Form available on our website at [insert link]. We will send you a receipt of cancellation after we receive your completed form.
The refund amount depends on the status of the service when the cancellation request is received:
Refunds apply only to our service fee. We do not process or refund official TV Licence payments.
Eligible refunds are processed within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date we receive your valid cancellation request. Refunds are issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless mutually agreed otherwise.
You are responsible for demonstrating that you exercised your right to cancel correctly and on time. When you cancel successfully, any supplementary agreements linked to your order are automatically terminated.
